The Utah Defense Alliance is an organization that brings together industry leaders, government officials, and leading academic institutions to support the viability and growth of Utah’s military installations. Its primary goal is to promote the state as a major supporter and superb host for the military missions, members and families residing in our state. The Alliance provides a platform for defense advocacy and also engages with government agencies and policymakers to shape policies positively impacting the defense sector.
By fostering collaboration and innovation, the Utah Defense Alliance aims to generate long-term growth of our in-state military activities and the defense industries which surround them.
UDA Mission
- Strengthen and support all appropriate governmental and private enterprises in their accomplishment of national defense objectives
- Represent the State of Utah in strengthening and supporting all military installations—and the missions thereof—residing in the state
UDA Goals
- Maintain and, where possible, grow Utah military missions, workload, and force structure while developing innovative projects for the future
- Promote the availability of a highly skilled workforce to support the defense and aerospace industry
- Engage political leaders at the local, state, and national level as well as DoD and business leaders to help resolve defense, aerospace, installation, and personnel issues
Our Board of Directors bring a wide range of expertise and perspectives with leaders from the public and private sectors. With backgrounds in public service, business, national security, and academia, Directors provide invaluable insight and strategic guidance to navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and serve UDA’s mission and goals.
